From the Ground UP!
Garmont΄s Anatomically Directed Design (a.d.d.®) enables your foot΄s natural ability to stabilize, absorb shock, and propel forward. Fit is enhanced to closely matching design and function to the natural asymmetric shape of your feet.
Your foot is an extremely complex anatomical structure: 26 bones, 33 joints and more than 100 muscles, ligaments and tendons. Garmont® boots are designed to deliver the best mountain experiences. We start from the inside and work outward - by understanding the anatomy of the foot, analyzing movement, and determining what is going to deliver the best performance.

PRECISION LACING
The shoe flexes like your foot for out-of-the-box walking comfort.
ROOMY TOE BOX
Features a straighter shape to accomodate the natural position of the big toe. With this design your toes can provide better balance and propulsion.

ASYMMETRICAL CUFF
The ankle cuff is lower on the outside and taller on the inside for better edging, greater overall stability and comfort when traversing and scrambling.
ANATOMICAL TONGUE
The tongue matches the asymmetric shape of the top of your foot and ankle. It is thicker to the outside and progressively thinner toward the inside. This anatomic shape keeps the tongue in place resulting in better control, stability and comfort.

DIFFERENTIAL ANKLE PADS
Securely locks the heel in place for a precise fit around the ankle bones for better stability and support.
OrthoLite®

As a vertically integrated U.S. company with facilities around the globe, OrthoLite® collaborate with its brand partners to create and produce custom insole formulations that deliver unrivaled comfort and performance.
Here’s how OrthoLite® continues to set the standard:
Eco-Friendly
All OrthoLite® foams contain 5% recycled rubber, helping keep hundreds of tons of waste out of landfills each year.
Long-Term Cushioning
Unlike traditional foam, OrthoLite® foam compresses less than 5% over the lifetime of the product—so the cushioning, fit, comfort and performance never change.
Moisture Management
The unique open-cell structure of OrthoLite® foam creates a moisture management system, helping to move moisture away and provide a cooler, drier, healthier environment in any application.
High Level Breathability
OrthoLite® foam’s open-cell PU technology is 95% to 100% breathable, allowing air to circulate in and around the foam, keeping the surrounding environment cooler.
Lightweight
OrthoLite® foams are extremely lightweight—enhancing performance with day-in, day-out airy comfort.
Washable
OrthoLite® foams are machine washable, coming out like new every time while maintaining all of the comfort and performance benefits after washing.
This system ensures that the foot stays firmly inside the shoe and prevents rubbing of the back of the foot and the formation of blisters.
Garmont Traction Formula, our family of soles.
Safety, stability and design were the key criteria in the development of this family. We studied each sole to offer you the most suitable characteristics for the specific context of use.
We took inspiration from the best teacher: Mother Earth, from stones in particular.
Stones have different shapes, different degrees of resistance and different composition.
But one thing is certain: nothing is left to chance.
And so it is with our soles.
